I'd like to congratulate Mary Ellen Gladding-Nelson on what she said regarding the need for a free splash pad in Stratford. Having to travel to other cities and town in order to provide a safe and enjoyable water play opportunity is a rather sad reality for families with young children. Her suggestion to develop the old fairgrounds to be used as a soccer complex is also an excellent idea. Thank you, Mary Ellen, for your insight!
Ever since the fabulous Rotary Complex opened I have been asking the question: "What about those of us who are not involved in hockey?" Mary Ellen's states: "There is more to Stratford than hockey" - I couldn't agree more!
Most of us in this great city support the Stratford Festival in one way or an other. I am convinced that, with proper planning, the same enthusiasm will be shown if a new indoor swimming pool with outdoor splash pad were to be built for the citizens of Stratford.
"If you build it they will come!"
