A female clerk was left shaken up but uninjured after a robbery at Sobeys on Queensland Road on Saturday.
At around 6:30 a.m., a 19-year-old male entered the store with his face covered. He proceeded to the check out where he allegedly demanded money from the clerk. He left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
About 10 minutes later, Stratford police located a man matching the suspect description. Police say he attempted to flee but was arrested.
Along with the 19-year-old Stratford male, police also arrested a 16-year-old male they say was also involved in the robbery.
The suspects have been charged with numerous offences in connection to the robbery. Both were kept in police custody pending a bail hearing earlier this week.
