Jess Johnston brought two boys to Avon Public School on Tuesday morning and went home with only one. Her son Tyler Gould was off to Grade 1 and was a bit nervous on his first day. Last year, he was a student at Downie Central School. Meanwhile, his younger brother Jared, 3, gave Tyler a couple of big hugs. “He’s going to miss you,” said his mom. Thousands of students in Huron and Perth returned to public and Catholic schools in the area on Tuesday.
