Robert “Bob” Boon
Robert “Bob” Boon, 66, of Stratford, died Monday at Stratford General Hospital. He was a son of the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Smith) Boon. He had been employed at Spartech (formerly Korlans) for 41 years, retiring in December 2004. He enjoyed coaching girls softball and ringette and played hockey and ball for many years. He was an associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #8, Stratford. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Madeline (Watkinson) and his daughters Cheryl and her husband Dale Shean, and Heather and her husband Tom Sutherland. A funeral service will be held today at 3 p.m. at the W.G. Young Funeral Home

Gloria Hicks
Gloria Lida Hicks, 59, of Crystal Lake, RR 5 Stratford, died Sunday at Stratford General Hospital. Born in Elk Lake, Ontario, she was a daughter of the late Paul Bastien and the former Jacqueline (Major) Huddleston. She was predeceased by her husband Earnest Hicks in 2001. She is survived by her daughter Lisa Stackhouse. A memorial service was held at the W.G. Young Funeral Home

Gordon Lince
Gordon Robert Lince, 88, of Stratford, died Aug. 1 at Stratford General Hospital. Born in Stratford, he was a son of the late William Lince and the former Jessie Hawes. He was a veteran of the Second World War and served with the Royal Canadian Dragoons as a radio controller from 1941-1946. He owned and operated Perth TV Clinic for over 20 years then worked at Saftronics from 1975 until his retirement in 1985. He is survived by his wife Evelyn (Bridges) Lince whom he married in 1959 and by his children Denise and Robin. A funeral service was held at the W.G. Young Funeral Home.

Reg Richardson
Reginald Samuel Richardson died at home Aug. 1 after a brief battle with cancer. He was born in Stratford, a son of the late Karl and Margaret (Douglas) Richardson. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife Delphine (Burnett) Richardson in 1968 and by an infant daughter Sara in 1971. He is survived by his wife of 39 years Carol (Russell) Richardson and his children Greg and Connie Richardson of Lucan, Tammy and Kevin Gettler of Fullarton and Jason and Erin Richardson of Mitchell. A funeral service will be held today at 11 a.m. at the W.G. Young Funeral Home.
