The Huron Perth Lakers AAA Minor Midgets faced off against the Grey Bruce Highlanders last Thursday night, defeating them 3-2. Calvin Penney opened the scoring for the Lakers with assists going to Garrett Meurs and Nik McIver. Dylan Lazarus put the Lakers up by two with David Dalby assisting.
Meurs rounded out the Lakers scoring with Sam Feagan grabbing the helper. Grey Bruce tried to make a game of it late in the third period by scoring two goals but Brett O’Drowsky shut the door to pick up the win in net.
