SYS introduces new indoor program

Stratford Youth Soccer is getting ready to launch its first indoor soccer program this fall.

The indoor program’s season will kick off on Nov. 9 and wrap up in mid-March.

All of the new program’s events will take place on Sunday mornings at the new Ag Complex.

Boys and girls born between 1994 and 2003 are eligible to participate in the program. There will be U5, U6 and U8 programs for boys and girls, while the rest of the age divisions depend on registration numbers.

There is limited space available offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. There are spots for about 300 to 350 players and organizers anticipate they will be able to accommodate everyone who is interested in participating.

The program will include individual ball skills in conjunction with games. Sessions should be 60 to 90 minutes in length depending on the age group.

Registration for the new program will take place at the Stratford Rotary Complex on Sept. 17 and Oct. 8 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. each day. Cost for the program will be $50 per player.

For more information, visit www.stratfordyouthsoccer.com. For those who cannot attend one of the registration days, there is a registration form available online that can be mailed in.
