The Rotary Club of Stratford is gearing up for its annual Arts & Crafts 2008 Christmas Show on Nov. 8 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Nov. 9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the new Rotary Recreation Complex in Stratford.
This juried event features over 100 booths with the addition of many new artisans this year, all displaying their hand-crafted creations, including children’s toys, wood and Raggedy Ann dolls, Sock Monkeys for the kids; and for mom and dad, Calligraphy Art – your name or initials while you wait – hand-made soaps, gels, creams and body lotions, gift baskets of home made preserves, jams and teas, hand-blown glass beads, one-of-a-kind silver and semi-precious stone jewelry, quilted items, hand-made Christmas ornaments, and more.
Well-known children’s authors Pat Mestern and David Carruthers will be on hand to talk about – and autograph – their latest books.
